Dennis and Stephen Brooks began Armor Pest Control in 2000.

With a reputation for quality service their business quickly out grew the home-based office. Additional space, equipment, and staff was needed to meet the growing demand for their service. Expansion would require a loan.

Recognizing the fact that they needed professional assistance in creating an effective business plan to obtain a loan Dennis and Stephen contacted the North Central Texas College Small Business Development Center.

Certified Business Development Specialist and NCTC/SBDC Director, Cathy Keeler, helped Dennis and Stephen research and prepare a business and marketing plan, provided technical assistance with the financials, demographic and support documentation.

Armor Pest Control received an SBA loan which enabled them to move the business out of Stephen’s home and into an office in Denton. Business continues to grow. An additional office in Gainesville, TX was opened in July of 2002.

Dennis and Stephen have applied hard work and high quality service with careful planning to achieve their success. Today Armor Pest Control has twelve employees continues to grow.
