Tuition Waivers

"Except for the Hazlewood Act, which gives colleges an option, a college CANNOT award exemptions and waivers for continuing education courses for which the college does not receive formula funding (tax support).  If the course being taken is a continuing education course, you must first determine whether it is state funded.  If so, the following exemptions and waivers may apply.  If not, exemptions and waivers may NOT be granted."   This statement is taken directly from Texas Education Agency Code, Section 54.545.
