Education Diploma Preparatory Classes (GED)
Bowie and Corinth
Onsite instruction provided in math, language studies, reading, science and social studies to prepare for the GED Exam. Class can be taken multiple semesters. Students who are under 18 may enroll with written parent/guardian permission and official documentation of withdrawal from last school attended. Ongoing open registration allows students to take the class until mastering the GED exam. Textbook required.

Adult Basic Education / GED and ESL Program
In partnership with the Texas Education Agency, GED and ESL classes will be offered on the Gainesville Campus free of charge with all learning materials provided. State and federal funds provide this opportunity for adult learners age 18 and above. Students age 16 and 17 will only be accepted under court order or parental consent. Both morning and evening classes are available. Highly qualified and caring teachers assist students to meet their personal educational and/or employment goals. By utilizing a student centered approach to learning, the classes are tailored to each student’s learning style and need. A commitment to consistent attendance is required. Student provides pen or pencil and 3-ring binder. Register at the Lifelong Learning Office in the Career & Technology Building. Limited seating for each class.

Transitional Skills Program
The Transitional Skills program is designed for mentally and physically challenged adults who have graduated from high school or who are twenty-one. The program’s goal is to provide the skills needed to function in the work place, in a group home or in the home environment. The program provides an opportunity to develop and perform the tasks needed to lead happy and productive lives. Gainesville Campus is open for new registrations.
