Physical Therapy Aide This Physical Therapy Aide is generally responsible for carrying out the non-technical duties of physical therapy, such as preparing treatment areas, ordering devices and supplies, and transporting patients working under the direction of the physical therapist. This course is to familiarize the student with all areas of pre-clinical dental assisting and provide training in the professional skills required to function as and assistant in the dental practice. Medical Billing and Coding (Insurance Coding/Advanced Medical Coding) This combined billing and coding course offers the skills needed to solve insurance billing problems, how to manually file claims (using the CPT and ICD-9 manual), complete common insurance forms, trace delinquent claims, appeal denied claims and use generic forms to streamline billing procedures. Medication Administration Certification This course will provide the training elements that will meet the Texas Department of Health requirements for Medication Aide. Students must be at least 18 years old, provide documentation of employment on the first day of class in a facility as a Certified Nurse Aide, or in a Personal Care Facility such as a State School, be free of contagious diseases, and furnish a certified copy of a high school diploma or GED. (Sterile Processing) New The Central Service Instrument Technician training is a comprehensive course in central service and sterile processing. It includes the principles, methods and control of sterilization processes; and the cleaning, processing, packaging, distributing, storing and inventory control of sterile goods, instruments, trays and equipment. The successful completion of this class will prepare the employee to take the (CRCST) Certification Exam. The certification does require 200 hours hands-on component prior to testing.
