The Gainesville Campus of NCTC is its main campus, serving as home to the central administration and governing board. In its present location since 1960, when the college district (encompassing all of Cooke County, of which Gainesville, Texas is the county seat and largest city) was created as a separate entity from the local public school district. Both the Gainesville and Corinth campuses are situated along the "Interstate 35 Corridor" which extends from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex northward through Lewisville, Denton and points north along the route to Oklahoma City.
GAINESVILLE CAMPUS DIRECTORY/MAP (PDF)
The main campus is situated on a 110-acre tract about two miles from downtown Gainesville on West California Street (U.S. 51). It is just eight miles from the Red River, which separates the Lone Star and Sooner states, and NCTC draws many students from southern Oklahoma. (In fact, because our college district borders this neighboring state, we allow qualified Oklahoma residents attending NCTC to pay IN-STATE tuition rates!)
To get to our Gainesville Campus from I-35: Take the California Street Exit (U.S. Hwy 51, exit 497), then head west for about one mile. Look for the big white water tower with the City of Gainesville and NCTC logos. You can't miss it!
