The Bowie Campus features five regular classrooms (two of which are furnished with distance education equipment that allows classes to be broadcasted to or from remote locations), an oil & gas classroom equipped with computers and distance education technology, one computer lab, a science lab, a vocational nursing lab, and an oil & gas lab. There is also a Library/Learning Resource Center and a Student Success Center. The design and property size will allow for considerable expansion. Take a photo-tour of the campus.
The Bowie Campus has a partnership with all area high schools to meet the needs of dual-credit and college-bound students. The curriculum includes courses that provide a solid foundation for students transferring to four-year universities, as well as pre-requisites for the Associate Degree Nursing (RN) program. Every August, there is a new group of Vocational Nursing (LVN) students eager to complete their program in 12 months. Academic courses for transfer or earning an associate degree can also be completed locally. Another program offered on the Bowie Campus is the Associate of Arts in Teaching. Articulation agreements have been made with state universities so that AAT graduates will have a seamless transition to complete their education/certification degrees. The AAT degree satisfies the requirements for the "No Child Left Behind" act for teacher aides. Last but not least, the Bowie Campus hosts an exciting Oil & Gas Production Technology Program (based in newly added facility) that offers the industry-prescribed courses leading to either a two-year Associate Degree or a one-year Certificate of Completion.
