The Bookstore is the place to go purchase textbooks, supplies, software and a wide variety of other merchandise ranging from clothing, caps and backpacks to window decals, travel mugs and many more items featuring NCTC insignia. We also have candy, gum, some toiletries, seasonal items and other specialty merchandise, including a full array of nursing and cosmetology supplies. Inventory of specialty items varies among locations, but the Bookstore on each campus stocks all required textbooks and materials for the classes taught at that location.

In addition, the Bookstore offers:

Where to Find Us & Hours of Operation

Gainesville Campus – Room 111 in the ASC (100 Building). Go to the front entrance nearest the flagpoles, we are just inside the building on your left. Open Monday – Thursday, 7:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., during the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Corinth Campus – On the first floor in the commons area, just across from the Admissions Office. Open Monday – Thursday, 7:45 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., during the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Bowie Campus – In Room 113, located in the corridor to your left as you enter the building. Call Bowie Campus for hours of operation.

Refund Policy

 

ALL RETURNS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CURRENT SALES RECEIPT.

  • Textbooks purchased for the Fall or Spring semester may be returned within the first week of the term for a full refund if they are in the original purchase condition.
  • Textbooks may be returned during the second week of the term for a 75% refund if accompanied by a valid drop slip.
  • Books purchase for Mini-terms or Summer terms may be returned within the first TWO DAYS of class for a full refund if in original purchase condition. Textbooks returned through the fourth class day will be refunded at 75%.
  • Textbooks may be sold back at the wholesale price after refund periods.
  • Shrink wrapped books must be retruned in their original, unopened condition for a full refund. If book has been opened it will be refunded at 75% of the original price.
  • Defective books should be exchanged immediately.
  • Book Buy Back is held during final exams for a given semester.

    • A Textbook MUST be scheduled for use the following semester in order to be eligible for "buy back." If a book is a CURRENT EDITION being used the following semester - in used (but not abused) condition - the student will receive 50% of the purchase price if we have not purchased our quota.
    • If a textbook is not scheduled for use the following semester, the student may sell a book at wholesale value.
    • We are the sole judge in determing whether books are in new or used condition.

    Merchandise Returns

    • All returns MUST be accompanied by a sales receipt.
    • Defective merchandise is returnable if it is returned within one week of the purchase date.
    • General merchandise is returnable if it is returned within one week of the purchase date.
    • Workbooks, test study guides, Cliff Notes, laboratory books, and sale merchandise are not retrunable.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Q. How do I find my books?
    A. The Bookstore is set up by course numbers; for example: ENGL 1301. Shelf tags for each class are set along the shelves in alphabetical order.
       
    Q. Are the books required or optional for my class?
    A. Most books are required for your class, but some books may be optional. The shelf tag will identify if a book is required or optional.
       
    Q. Can I use my Pell Grant to purchase items other than books?
    A. Yes. Your Pell Grant can be used to purchase books, supplies, clothes and any other items found in the bookstore.
