Player Profiles - Fall 2003

#2 Luke Cannon SO/OF

High School —Luke was named All-District for three years at Crandall High School. He was named MVP of the district his senior year when he hit 11 homeruns with a batting average at .460. He also lettered for three years on the football team. Luke had a great fall hitting .316 while clubbing 3 homeruns, 6 doubles, and driving in 27 runs in only 79 at-bats. He will be expected to play a considerable amount of time in the outfield while adding some power importance to the Lions this year.

#11 Trey Rachal SO/OF

High School — Trey had a great senior year being named MVP of the Edmond Tournament and the Stillwater Tournament. He was named to the All-City and All-State team. He hit .485 with 7 homeruns, 12 doubles, and 50 RBIs leading Santa Fe to the State Championship game for 6A. His summer was almost as productive being named MVP of the World Legion Tournament and the New York Classic during summer baseball. He lettered three years on the basketball team where he made the Senior All-Star game. Trey had a great fall hitting .447 while driving in a team leading 28 runs. He will see plenty of time in the outfield this spring.

#20 RYAN McDANIEL SO/OF

High School — Ryan was named to the All-District, All-Conference, and the All-Region team his senior year. He was Honorable Mention for two years for the All-State team. He also lettered 3 years running the football for Mustang. Ryan had a solid fall and will see plenty of action in the outfield this season.
