Tanner struggled through some nagging injuries last year that prevented him for reaching his potential.  He finished up throwing forty innings for the Lions last year.  His experience from the left side will give the Lions depth and he will be pushing for a starting rotation spot this spring

Mark is a dual player who played was second on the team in hitting last year at a .382 clip.  He was tied for second last year with fifteen doubles.  He is second all-time with five triples from last season.  He also pitched eighteen innings with a 3.93 ERA.  He will be named to the Academic All-Conference Team.  Mark has been named to the Dean’s List.  He was selected to the Texas / New Mexico All-Star Game this past fall.

Tommy had a solid year last season for the Lions on the mound.  He finished with a 4.56 ERA in twenty-four innings.  He was one of the main pitchers out of the pen last year who will be looking to be in the starting rotation this year.  He will be named to the Academic All-Conference Team.  Tommy has been named to the Dean’s List.

Donald was All-District last year for Newman Smith H.S. He helped lead them to the Regional Finals with 9 wins and an ERA of 2.20.

College:

Don is the lone conference starter coming back this season.  He was third on the team with sixty-five innings and finished with a 5.26 ERA.  Once again, Williams will be counted on to be in the rotation this season.  He was selected to the Texas / New Mexico All-Star Game this past fall.

Chad had a good season despite fighting a stress fracture in his foot all season.  Down the stretch during the final month of the season, Chad led the Lions in homeruns and RBIs.  Chad both catches and plays first base, but was mostly limited to first due to his injury.  He finished second on the team with seven homeruns.  He finished the season hitting at a .330 clip.  He was selected to the Texas / New Mexico All-Star Game this past fall.  He was also drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers
