Before they were stars...

Remember the sci-fi blockbuster "Robocop"? Underneath all that metal was actor PETER WELLER, who actually attended NCTC back in 1967 when it was known as Cooke County Junior College. The son of an Army pilot, he graduated from high school in San Antonio where he also attended San Antonio College. From there he came to CCJC and then went on to UNT in Denton as a music major, graduating in '69. (He still plays a pretty mean jazz trumpet.) He has a master's in Roman & Renaissance art and is working toward a Ph.D. In addition to his very successful acting career, he has taught literature and fine arts classes at Syracuse University.

Multiple Oscar-winning actor TOM HANKS first attended two-year Chabot College (Hayward, CA), then transferred to California State University, Sacramento, where he took drama classes.
