AA and AS degrees are an embodiment of NCTC’s goal of providing quality freshman and sophomore level courses in arts and sciences that parallel the lower division offerings of four-year colleges and universities by offering a coherent sequence of courses with appropriate breadth and depth to prepare students for transfer to a university. To earn an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees with a major in Agriculture, the minimum requirements for each must be met and an additional 15 college-level semester hours in Agriculture must be earned at NCTC.
An AA or AS with a major emphasis in Agriculture prepare a student for transferring to a senior university in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree.
